Bard

Bards are the life of the party and a valuable ally on the battlefield. They specialize in magical AOE buffs and protectives. Many Bard actions require that they perform in front of an audience for a specific period of time. It doesn’t have to be singing. It can be dancing or playing an instrument as well.

Healer

Before and after big battles a visit to a Bard can help with buffing up or repairing damage. Because they specialize in AOE, they can cover several people at once.

Performance Bonus: Renew 1 skill or 10 mana (recipients choice) to audience members by performing for an audience of at least 3. The performance must last 3 minutes, audience size of 3 or more must be maintained. The performer and audience members must be out of combat. The performer conducting the performance may not regain skills or mana from their own show but may benefit from those of others. In the event that multiple performers are working together, they will gain the benefits created by the other performers. Continuous shows with multiple performers using this ability lasting more than 3 minutes will bestow this benefit every 3 minutes to all audience members and performers. This assumes that the performers are using the bonus to refresh their own Performance Bonus to continue the effect. Performers do not count as audience members while also performing. The show must be presented to an audience.

Inspiration

Bards can access some pretty sweet spells.

Specials: These abilities may be purchased once for tier 1, twice for tier 2, and thrice for tier 3 for a total of 6 uses per day for each.

Bardic Rage and Fury: Once per day you may inspire allies within your voice radius to nullify damage from all physical sources such as weapons and double all physical damage dealt for 30 seconds. Call out “Bardic Rage and Fury” to begin this 30 second period. You may resist this effect with any ability that allows you to resist charm effects. The Bard is not affected by his own Bardic Rage and must perform for 30 seconds to maintain the effect. If the Bard is interrupted or the 30 seconds expires this effect ends and the Bard must Call out “End Bardic Rage and Fury”. At the end of 30 seconds all those affected must fall to one knee in exhaustion for 30 seconds. During this period of exhaustion the affected may not take any other action. Unlike a true Berserker Rage the Bard may not extend the time of this effect. However, a Berserker may use their own ability after a Bardic Rage to extend the time frame.

Fear/Sleep: Once per day you may inspire fear/sleep in enemies within your voice radius for 30 seconds. Call out “Bardic Fear/Sleep” to begin this 30 second period. The Bard must perform for 30 seconds to maintain the effect. During this time enemies within voice radius of the Bard are paralyzed in fear/sleep unless they can resist fear/charm effects. Any interruption of the Bard or damage taken by those affected breaks the effect.

Spy

Bards are welcome in many places that other strangers can’t readily walk into. This makes them ideal spies.

Other useful skills for a Warrior:

Prepared Strike: This skill allows you to do double your base damage for 1 strike each time you purchase this skill. You must roleplay preparing your strike for 3 seconds.

Rugged: This skill grants 2 additional base HP for each purchase.

(5) Innate Armor: This skill grants 1 additional armor for each purchase that is present even when traditional armor isn’t worn.

Deadly: This skill grants 1 additional damage with any weapon.
