Even in this day a Minotaur is easily spotted by the horns. For most examples of this heritage, in Helike, that is where the resemblance to a classical minotaur ends. However, there are some common stereotypes that persist- a general bullish nature, hooved feet, enormous strength. These things may be true of individuals to varying degrees, but are not indicative of the whole anymore. They do tend to display a clannish nature and take a certain pride in living within mazes instead of being trapped, as in the old stories. The Minotaur have taken all of the old scary, negative even shameful aspects of the stories and made them their own. They are proud of their heritage, they like being larger than life and they have developed a certain confident swagger while displaying the tropes of their heritage. No plain iron nose ring for this generation of Minotaur- only an ornate outsized ring, with chains draped to the horns and through the hair will do now. Many have even gilded the tips of their horns rather than hide them or cut them off.
