Tattooist

Tattooist’s use various inks to apply protectives to the body. Some inks are more permanent than others, some will need to be reapplied upon use. Some inks are extremely costly to make. There are 10 grains/drops/flakes/? in order to make a full Unit of a material. For example: you will need to gather 10 cups of Iron Water from a forge in order to create 1 Unit of Iron Water for mixing an ink.

(OOG, your Tattooist can use whatever material is agreed upon, for example, waterproof eyeliner, non-toxic marker etc. If you have allergies, you should consider providing your preferred “ink”)

Tattoo’s need not be prominently displayed (unless noted). Generally, if your tattoo runs, it is ruined. Keep that in mind if you choose to have it on your hand which you will hopefully be washing frequently. Facial tattoos tend to be sweated off as well. Upper arm or forearms tend to work well. Also back or chest tatts, as long as your armor isn’t rubbing too much.

PC’s must “sit” for the Tattooist for the initial tattoo. They must be reapplied OOG as needed before and during the game (this can be arranged with the Tattooist, or done on your own). Stencils for quick applications are recommended, as well as spray make-up fixative. If a pc is feeling ambitious, real life henna makes a good temporary tatt that won’t be sweated or rubbed off.

A tattooist can apply as many tatts/day as their Mana pool and skill level allows. Players may only have 1 of each tattoo at a time.

In order to begin the Tattooist profession PC’s must purchase the Skill Tattooist at 10 pts of XP. The initial purchase allows the tattooist to apply any of the currently known Canon tattoos. Future tattoos may become available in game and must be acquired through in game means. A tattooist must have tools in order to give a tattoo (needles, ink vials, etc)

Tattooist has a prerequisite of Chemist and is not a prerequisite of any other skill at this time.

Each tattoo has a mana cost upon application. It is up to PCs to determine how they will compensate their tattooists (materials for inks, mana store items, coin)
